I've attempted writing a blog before, half as a writing exercise and half to teach me to write more consistently and more regularly. I failed in my first attempt, but now I've got a weapon. My brother.
He and I communicate primarily in movie reviews, and computer game reviews. We throw things back and forth and go on random, tangental debates about things.
In trying to find a review 'voice', this is closer to a distinctive tone than anything I was managing before, because I'm writing to a direct audience. So with all that in mind, I thought it would be a good idea to bring him in on this and give us both something to do. We'll still be throwing these e-mails back and forward at each other like we normally do, but then after a little bit of polishing we'll post them here.
Initially I'm going to be hunting through the older reviews we sent each other (Ju-on, Dark Water, Twilight, etc), seeing what's to be posted here, then work on seeing some more films, good and bad, to rant about.
